Loro Parque

You might remember our first visit to Loro Parque. The boys were just over one year old, and we went for my birthday. We liked it so much that we bought season passes. We have a wonderful time each visit and it's fun to watch the boys enjoy it more and more every time.

We leave for our trip to the States in just under two weeks, and our season pass will expire while we are gone...So, we have been trying to squeeze in a couple more trips before we go. One trip took place this past Saturday. Our friends Eliza and Sergio joined us. It was a great day.

One of the neatest things this visit was visiting Kinderlandia, the play area for kids (it's the best one we've found on the island). Last year, the boys couldn't do anything....they were just too small and couldn't climb high enough. This time, what a difference!! They were "all pro," as if they knew exactly what to do and where to go. They had a blast, and, for the first 20 minutes or so, they were the only kids on the playground. It was excellent.

Last year (Oct. 2008)

This year (Aug. 2009)

The penguins and the shark tunnel

The fake birds and the real birds

The monkeys (or "mon-nies!")

Catching a show and taking and ice cream break

And a kiss to end the day
